Battle Ready Fuel Super Greens Review

Battle Ready Fuel super greensBattle Ready is a UK based supplement brand. Founded by Ollie Ollerton, former SAS serviceman, Battle Ready is a brand pushing the boundaries in the health world, providing high-quality supplements and formulas. Everything from protein powders to formulas that aid with sleep features on the brand’s site, so whatever your health and wellbeing needs are, this brand has your back.

The Super Greens formula is one of the most popular supplements created by the brand and was one of the first products to be brought to life. Founder, Ollie Ollerton, as a previous SAS serviceman, understands the importance of consuming the correct dosage of vitamins, minerals, and micronutrients daily if you are to lead the healthiest life possible.

The Battle Ready Fuel Super Greens formula is packed with an array of potent superfood ingredients and enzymes that are rich in vitamins, minerals, amino acids, antioxidants, and micronutrients. The brand claims that the formula provides the consumer with a daily dose of greens, and much more.

The formula is marketed as being suitable for vegetarians and vegans, but not suitable for those with gluten, soy or cereal allergies. This seems disappointing that the ingredients within the formula limit who it’s suitable for when the majority of other super greens formulas on the market are normally gluten-free, soy-free, and wheat-free.

Ollie Ollerton understands that not everyone has the time to research the best ingredients for their nutrition, let alone run around the supermarket to collect all of the products, and then spend time cooking. So, the brand created this formula as a quick and easy way for people to get their micronutrients, without all the hassle.

Each ingredient within this formula positively impacts the consumer’s health in a specific way, and therefore when the ingredients are all combined, it packs a mean punch. The first, and more general benefit to this formula is the fact that the consumer will receive the daily dosage of super greens, including vitamins, minerals, and phytonutrients, that’s necessary for optimum daily health.

In addition to this, the brand promotes more specific health benefits that derive from consuming the formula. The formula will help to balance the body’s pH levels and the ingredients can actually help to make the body more alkaline, meaning it’s less susceptible to illness or can work in a better way to attack any existing illnesses.

The formula also supports the immune system and boosts the general wellbeing of the consumer. This health benefit will mainly be thanks to the rich antioxidants within the formula, that protect the cells from radical damage and push toxins from the body.

The brand also claims that energy levels will increase when consuming the formula, with superfood ingredients providing long-lasting, “buzz-free” energy boosts. Finally, the formula will support the health of the gut and the digestive system, which will not only be down to the fibers in the mix but also the digestive enzymes that support the absorption of nutrients in the gut.

The Super Greens formula contains 19 ingredients in total. All of the ingredients within the formula have been through the patented cold-drying process, ensuring all of the micronutrients within the ingredients have been preserved.

There are no proprietary blends mentioned on the ingredients list, which seems initially like a positive thing. However, the ingredients list really lets the formula down – there are no amounts of any ingredients shown. Therefore, the consumer doesn’t know if they are consuming the correct dose of each ingredient in order for health benefits to derive.

The list of ingredients is instead simply listed on the back of the tub, with only the number of calories and amounts of carbohydrates, fats, and proteins being listed in amounts on the ingredients list.

For a formula with such impressive ingredients and for a brand with such potential and scientific backing, it seems utterly disappointing that the amounts of each ingredient aren’t shown, and it makes the brand seem less trustworthy.

The ingredients within the formula are:

Soya Lecithin, Finasco A 120, Apple Fibre Powder, Rice Bran Powder, Barley Grass Juice Powder, Chlorella Powder, Spirulina Powder, Alfalfa Powder, Beetroot Powder, Wheat Grass Powder, Raspberry Powder, Jerusalem Artichoke Powder 90% Inulin, Vanilla Powder, Dulse Powder, Apple Pectin Powder, Co-Enzyme Q10, Lactobacillus Acidophilus, Superoxide Dismutase, and Bifidus Bacteria.

Although the brand doesn’t focus on any of the ingredients within the formula specifically, let’s take a look at a selection of the ingredients in more detail, as well as the health benefits that derive from them. However, it’s important to keep in mind that if the amount of each ingredient added into the formula isn’t the optimum amount, health benefits may not derive from consuming this powder.

Barley Grass Juice Powder

Barley grass has powerful anti-inflammatory properties and therefore reduces inflammation in the body and reduces the risk of certain illnesses and diseases associated with inflammation. In addition, it promotes weight loss, supports the digestive system, and boosts the immune system (1).

Chlorella Powder

Chlorella is a potent alga packed with powerful antioxidants that protect the cells from radical change and damage, as well as push toxins from the body. Chlorella also helps to alkalize the body, reduces inflammation, and supports the immune system (2).

Spirulina Powder

Spirulina is also an alga packed with antioxidants, therefore protecting the cells from radical damage, pushing toxins from the body, and making the pH of the body more alkaline. It also lowers cholesterol, regulates blood pressure, and provides long-lasting energy (3).

Spirulina

Alfalfa Powder

Alfalfa grass protects DNA, lowers blood cholesterol, and helps the body to form collagen. In addition, it’s full of antioxidants and therefore protects cells from radical damage, pushes toxins and heavy metals from the system, as well as having an alkalizing effect (4).

Jerusalem Artichoke Powder

Jerusalem Artichokes contain an array of essential proteins and prebiotics. They support the digestive system by making the microflora of the gut healthy and regulating bowel movements. They also lower blood pressure and blood cholesterol levels, as well as providing large amounts of the essential mineral iron (5).

Co-Enzyme Q10

Co-Enzyme Q10 is a powerful enzyme that supports heart health, regulates blood sugar levels, lowers levels of oxidative stress, and can prevent certain types of cancer (6).

Although we’ve only taken a look at a small selection of the ingredients within the formula, it’s obvious that the ingredients are potent and can impact the health of the consumer to a great extent. However, as the amount of each ingredient isn’t shown within the mix, it’s unclear as to whether the consumer will actually receive these health benefits.

The formula only comes in a Mint flavor, but it’s not actually said how the formula does taste like mint, as there are no flavoring ingredients mentioned in the ingredients list. However, overall, the product tastes good. Although you can still taste the greens within the mix, the minty taste provides a refreshing taste. This formula can simply be added to water as it’s easy to drink.

However, if you’re new to drinking super greens formulas, you might find that the taste of the greens is overpowering and might find it best to incorporate the powder into a smoothie or shake.

Battle Ready Fuel doesn’t give the consumer any options when it comes to the price of the product. Unlike other supplement brands that offer discounts for orders over a certain quantity or a discounted subscription option, this formula comes at one price and one price only.

However, a redeeming quality is that the formula is covered by the brand’s 60-day money-back guarantee, so you can rely on this if you’re not happy with the product.

The tubs of the Super Greens formula contain 450g of the formula, which is an incredibly substantial amount of powder in comparison to what other brands offer. The recommended serving size is 3g, which seems a very small amount. However, perhaps the formula is so potent that only a small amount needs to be consumed (unfortunately due to the lack of ingredients information we will never know!).

If you were to use the recommended serving size, one tub of the formula would contain 150 servings. This is an insanely large amount of product in one tub. However, the brand does recommend, on the product page, that the serving size of 3g should be consumed 1-3 times daily, so the formula wouldn’t last 150 days as you might expect.

One tub of Super Greens on the Battle Ready Fuel website costs $43.99. If you use the recommended serving size, this works out an incredibly cheap cost per serving of $0.29. This is probably the cheapest super greens formula we have ever reviewed, and it could be a cost-effective option, if only we knew how much of each ingredient was inside.

Typically, we like to add in third-party, real customer reviews on each product we review ourselves. However, as the brand was only founded at the end of 2019, there are no reviews on the product as of yet. Hopefully, the review we have created on the product can be one of the first.

If you’re interested in purchasing the Battle Ready Fuel Super Greens formula, as of the time of writing this review, you can only purchase it on the Battle Ready Fuel website directly. In the future, it’ll most likely be available on Amazon and third-party supplements, but it isn’t just yet.

Ollie OllertonBattle Ready Fuel seems like such a promising brand, and the fact it’s founded by someone that knows how important it is for the body to have the correct nutrients is hopeful.

The ingredients within this product are good and an array of health benefits can be derived from them. At such a low price it seems like a good deal.

However, the only thing holding this formula back from being one of our favorites is the fact that the amount of each ingredient isn’t shown, so the consumer is at a loss for information. Hopefully, in the near future, the brand will be more transparent with the amount of each ingredient in this formula, then it would be a perfect product.
