Ka’Chava Review

kachavaWhen it comes to all-in-one superfood meals, Ka’Chava quickly became a leader in the industry for containing everything from fiber to digestive enzymes, along with a host of other ingredients like plenty of super greens and proteins.

Ka’Chava is fairly new to the market and launched its product around 2014. They have big claims when it comes to the benefits of using Ka’Chava, like increased energy levels, aids in weight management will boost your metabolism, and supports digestion while increasing immunity.

But that’s just a drop in the bucket; they also claim Ka’Chava will help to reduce bloating and a whole bunch more benefits. If this all true, then this product could be one of the best choices for achieving better health.

So far, we are pretty impressed with all the ingredients and benefits claimed. However, we are going to dive deeper to see if Ka’Chava is everything it’s cracked up to be.

The story behind the brand is quite interesting because it all boils down to one man, Simon Malone, who wanted a whole-body meal while traveling that delivered all the essential nutrients at one time.

Since his search to find something that benefited his entire body within the supplement industry failed, he decided it was up to him to create an all-in-one supplement that delivered everything the body needs in just one serving. Hello Ka’Chava.

Ka’Chava was founded in 2014 and has continued to keep going strong ever since it debuted its product Ka’Chava Tribal Superfood. Along with its success in nutrition, it also has made a difference in the rainforest.

Ka’Chava is partnered with The Rainforest Trust and is doing everything it can to help the environment, including saving over 25,126 acres of rainforest since its involvement in 2017.

The website for Ka’Chava is bold, colorful, and versatile. You can find everything you need to know about Ka’Chava on there and also a ton of amazing looking recipes. Seriously, it’s better than some cooking or baking websites that specialize in food creations.

They also have included a lot of information about Ka’Chava ingredients and how they all play a significant role in improving overall health.

  • Boosts the Immune System
  • Reduces Anxiety
  • Increases the Speed of Muscle Recovery

Ka’Chava appears to be a real powerhouse when it comes to the list of benefits it claims. However, we want to dive deeper into the ingredients and find out what is supporting all these claims.

Ka’Chava is formulated with a whopping 70+ powerful ingredients. These include things like digestive enzymes, multiple super greens, probiotics, protein, adaptogens, and fruits.

However, once we got a good look at the ingredients list, we couldn’t help but notice these all fall under proprietary blends. This is such a huge bummer for us because we had really high hopes for a product with so much potential.

One of the most important pieces of a nutrition-based product is being transparent about all its ingredients and divulging the doses of each ingredient.

Here’s a look at Ka’Chava complete ingredient list:

  • Plant-Based Protein Blend (27.75 grams) – Yellow Pea Protein, Organic Whole Grain Brown Rice Protein, Organic Sacha Inchi Seed, Organic Amaranth Seed, Organic Quinoa Seed.
  • Digestive / Enzyme Blend (50mg) – Amylase, Protease, Cellulase, Lactase, Lipase.
  • Supergreens / Vegetable Blend (500mg) – Chlorella, Organic Beet, Organic Carrot, Organic Spinach, Organic Broccoli, Organic Tomato, Organic Kale, Organic Cabbage, Organic Parsley Leaf, Organic Brussel Sprouts, Organic Green Pepper, Organic Cucumber, Organic Celery, Organic Garlic, Organic Green Onion, Organic Cauliflower, Organic Asparagus.
  • Omega EFA / Fiber Blend (9.02 grams) – Pure Whole Grain Oat, Organic Acacia Gum, Chia Seed, Flax Seed.
  • Probiotic / Prebiotic Blend (50mg) – Inulin, Lactobacillus Rhamnosus, Lactobacillus Acidophilus.
  • Antioxidant / Superfruit Blend (6.1 grams) – Organic Coconut Flower Nectar, Acai Berry, Organic Maqui Berry, Camu-Camu Berry, Organic Strawberry, Organic Tart Cherry, Organic Blackberry, Organic Blueberry, Organic Raspberry.
  • Adaptogen Herb Blend (1,050 mg) – Organic Maca Root, Organic Shiitake Mushroom Mycelia, Organic Maitake Mushroom Mycelia, Organic Reishi Mushroom Mycelia, Organic Cordyceps Mushroom Mycelia, Organic Ginger Root.
  • Other Ingredients – Cocoa, Coconut Milk, Soluble Vegetable Fiber, Natural Vanilla Flavors, Xanthan Gum, Guar Gum, Lo Han Fruit Extract, Cinnamon.

Again, all these ingredients are so promising and beneficial when dosed correctly. We found it a pity that Ka’Chava used proprietary blends.

But on the bright side, Ka’Chava is considered to be vegan along with soy-free, dairy-free, and gluten-free. They also don’t use any artificial ingredients.

You will find that 28 out of the 70 ingredients listed are organic, giving it a much better rating vs. not having used any organic ingredients at all.

Well, we were quite impressed with the 12,375 reviews that Ka’Chava shows on its website. They also show that they have 4.7 stars out of 5.

But as always, we like to go to a third-party source for unbiased reviews, and Amazon is always a reliable source. They have over 2,700 reviews and a rating of 4.4 out of 5 stars.

Here’s a look at some of the comments being made about Ka’Chava:

The Ka’chava meal replacement is packed full of excellent nutrients! I actually really like the sweet chocolate taste, yet it also has 9g of sugar.T.

It fills me up. It has few calories. It is packed with nutrition.M.

This does not taste “GREAT” or “AMAZING”, imo. But more importantly (for me at least), it does not taste BAD like so many other drinks I’ve tried.JC

I can literally FEEL the positive effect it has on my overall energy – like burning really good – high tech fuel.S.

Really good and low calorie compared to alternatives. I agree with another reviewer who said “If it was $10-$20 less, I’d probably make it a subscription.M.

I use this to get the fiber, protein, and calories that I need, without all of the fat and carbs.S.

One of the common things we found with the reviews that weren’t rated as high as the others were the taste and the amount of sugar per serving. The Ka’Chava comes in two flavors, vanilla, and chocolate. Most people like chocolate the best.

There are 15 meals in every bag, says Ka’Chava, which of course means there are 15 servings per bag. The cost of one bag is $69.95 ($4.67 per serving).

That may seem quite expensive, but remember, this is an all-in-one meal replacement, not just greens supplement you take in addition to your regular meal regimen.

If you choose to subscribe, you can save ten bucks on every bag and pay $59.95 per pouch, which reduces the per serving cost to just $4.00.

If you order two bags at a time, you will get free shipping. They also have a very generous risk-free guarantee – you can return an empty bag and get a full refund.

Say what? Yep, they are so confident that you will love Ka’Chava that they are willing to make this ‘Empty-Bag Policy’ and take their chances.

We should also mention that Ka’Chava focuses on protein more than a typical superfoods product would, and this can play a huge factor in the cost.

We want to say we love it, but with the proprietary blends and the high-cost, it’s kinda hard to recommend it. But after evaluating everything a second time, we did come to the following conclusion:

If you are looking for an all-in-one meal replacement that offers a big bang for the buck, then Ka’Chava delivers it. We found that most of the proprietary blends in the Ka’Chava formula appear to be sufficiently dosed.

If you leave out the super greens blend, you will find that Ka’Chava has a whopping 27.5g of protein, 9.62g of fiber, and amazingly enough, 6.1g of antioxidant fruits.

However, if getting your recommended greens in every day is a top priority, then we suggest going with another brand that delivers in this section of ingredients.

In Ka’Chava, its super greens blend only comes in at approximately 500mg, and unfortunately, that is way below the recommended daily dose of between 1 to 5 grams of greens per serving.

If you’re okay with the cost, and you are getting all your greens in via another source (i.e., proper foods) and you want to try Ka’Chava to see if it makes a difference in your body or if it can replace one of your meals, then we say go for it!
