Progressive VegeGreens Review

Progressive VegeGreensProgressive VegeGreens is a super greens blend that provides a number of nutrients that are otherwise hard to get in a daily diet.

One of the main appeals of any super greens blend is the ability to absorb more nutrients per day than would ever be possible if you hunted down and consumed every ingredient individually. Progressive VegeGreens is a blend of over 60 ingredients composed of green foods, plant oils, herbs, and phytonutrients. Progressive VegeGreens claims that their specific super greens blend offers the antioxidant equivalent of 6 to 8 servings of fresh vegetables.

We’re about to take a look at Progressive Nutrition, the company behind this super greens blend. After that, we’ll see what promises they make about the benefits of their product. Then, we’ll see what customers have to say about the product. Lastly, we’ll determine if it’s worth your money and make our final verdict.

They start off by saying that they’re passionate about progress. They say that wellness doesn’t happen in a single day or workout and that it takes a number of steps that compose a full journey. They follow that up by promising that they want to make it easier to make healthy choices by providing a comprehensive line of products.

They say that each of their products has been scientifically-research, work, and even taste good. Every product they make is finely detailed for each demographic that they serve, saying that there is no one size fits all approach.

Something we like is that they say they take the guesswork out of it. While that does mean placing your trust in their company, if they end up earning it, then it’s something we would appreciate. They say that their team designs their products out of rigorous quality standards, natural medicine, and conventional science.

They end their about page by saying that they’re committed to changing their carbon footprint. They have taken steps to help reduce their waste and ship their products as environmentally friendly as possible.

All of this is great, but what we’d really like to see is some information about how the company was founded, who works there, and how they’ve grown. Their about page reads like a brochure for the company instead of telling us who they actually are.

They don’t dive deep into what types of benefits they provide. Throughout their product page, they mention a couple of benefits but do not elaborate on how their product results in said benefit. Here are some of the benefits that they claim that their product will produce:

  • Increased energy
  • Detoxify your body
  • Restore a healthy pH balance
  • Create mental clarity
  • Cleanse your body
  • Strengthen immune function
  • Support your heart
  • Increase digestive health

Considering how promising other aspects of their product are, we are pretty displeased to see this as their listed benefits. Many of them are quite generic, and some don’t mean much at all. We’d like to see them discuss what exactly in their product is going to create these results. Otherwise, we’re essentially just taking their word for it.

Progressive VegeGreens calls it “The Power of 8”, which they say means they’ve brought together the eight botanical families:

  • Land, Sea, Cruciferous vegetables, Green food concentrates, Plant oils, Phytonutrients, Herbs and extracts, Botanicals

We noticed some redundancy on this list. For example, phytonutrients are in every vegetable or plant. The word just means plant nutrients. It’s not a botanical family, it’s an aspect of every plant. This inconsistency is disappointing, to say the least.

However, they almost make up for it with this next part. They actually disclose the ingredient weights of their blend. If you’ve been read a few of our reviews, you may have noticed that very few companies do this.

Fortunately, Progressive VegeGreens decided it was time to let the world know what was in their blend.

They have all 60 ingredients and ingredient weights listed. Let’s highlight a few of the ingredients that jump out at us:

  • Flax seed oil – 100 mg
  • Evening primrose oil – 15 mg
  • Wheat grass – 100 mg
  • Parsley – 20 mg
  • Dandelion leaf – 10 mg
  • Carrot – 200 mg
  • Celery seed – 20 mg
  • Spirulina – 1,000 mg
  • Kelp – 20 mg
  • Nori – 10 mg
  • Watercress – 15 mg
  • Lutein – 2 mg
  • Milk thistle – 25 mg
  • Ginko biloba – 20 mg
  • Apple pectin – 105 mg
  • Fringe tree – 30 mg
  • Oat bran – 30 mg

We’re quite impressed and a little surprised that they disclosed their ingredient weights. This boosts their company and this product quite a bit in our eyes. Even some of the companies with more information about other aspects of the product tend to hide their ingredient weights.

There are only six reviews posted on their website, and we couldn’t find any real customer reviews on other websites. That means that it’s hard to get a strong idea about what people think of this product.

However, all six of their reviews are five-star reviews. That’s pretty impressive. Let’s take a look at a few of them.

Have been using VegeGreen Pineapple for couple of years now. It is my staple for every morning even when I go on vacation, I take it with me. Love that there is no aftertaste and it feels like you are actually taking in a meal.” – Carol R.

This review is from a verified buyer and she’s been using the product for years. That’s a pretty strong review due to how long she has been using the product. Anyone who uses something for years clearly enjoys it.

Let’s look at one more review:

My stomach and digestive system are so happy. This product is amazing and so delicious. I start every day with a VegeGreens smoothie and I no longer need a morning coffee. Thank you for making this product.” – Claudia R.

Claudia is also a verified buyer. Her review speaks more to the health products other than the taste. It seems as though she has been feeling in better health after she started taking the product.

Ultimately, it seems like the few customers who left a review do enjoy it. It’s possible that they have quite a few more happy customers, but Progressive doesn’t encourage them to leave reviews.

Is the product worth a pretty penny, or would your money be spent better on another product? Let’s take a look.

Progressive VegeGreens comes in four flavors that are the same price:

  • Pineapple Coconut
  • Original
  • Cucumber Mint
  • Blueberry Medley

There is no price change for different flavors. It also comes in three sizes with different prices. Normally, we would break down the price per serving. However, they do not list how many servings come within each size. Further down the product page, they say that a serving is “1 scoop”, but fail to mention how many scoops are in each size. Either way, here are the prices of the various sizes:

  • Regular size:
  • Price: $39.99
  • Subscription price: $35.99
  • Trial size:
  • Price: $16.99
  • Subscription price: $15.29
  • Large size:
  • Price: $65.99
  • Subscription price: $59.39

So, is it worth the price? Well, since being unable to calculate the price per serving, it’s pretty difficult to say if this product is overpriced, underpriced, or just average.

The best way to go is to buy a trial size container and try it out. We’re willing to be the price per serving is higher on the trial size, but it’s also less money upfront. If you like it, go for the large size, which presumably has the lowest price per serving. If you don’t like it, you’re only out $17, which is less than a meal for two at a restaurant.

We are absolutely blown away by the fact that they disclose their ingredient weights. This is exceedingly rare in the world of super greens and something that we love to see. It means that it’s possible to associate those ingredients with related studies and determine if they’re giving us enough of each ingredient to make a difference.

Disclosing ingredient weight is only one piece of the puzzle, though. We’d like to the price per serving. We’d also like to hear more about the benefits it’s going to give us, and how it will give them. There are a few missing pieces in the equation here, so we cannot give it a firm recommendation.

With that disclaimer, we are leaning towards recommending this product. While they may not have given us all the information, we’d like to have in order to make our decision, disclosing the ingredients list goes far in earning our trust.

We would urge you at least try a trial size container and see what you think. If you notice any health benefits, even if it’s just increased energy, it might be worth the price. Go ahead, give it a try.
